genetic resource professionals on good practices for effective ex situ conservation and utilization of plant genetic diversity held in genebanks.

Fifty two participants representing 18 Interns, 13 Research Scholars and 21 Research Fellows from 14 countries were trained at Genetic Resources at ICRISAT during 1996-2013.

The International Training Program on Plant Genetic Resources and Genebank Management during 7-12 October 2013, ICRISAT, Patancheru was attended by seventeen participants from nine countries including four from ICRISAT
regional locations (Niamey, Nairobi, Bulawayo, and Lilongwe) and Bangladesh, Ethiopia, India, Nepal, Niger, Nigeria, Tanzania, Uganda and Vietnam. The training courses/programs were a great success as evidenced by the
feedback and the reflections of the participants from time-to-time.
